The JDH team collaborated with the school and community during the planning and design phases to understand the Catholic and community contexts, along with the needs of students and teachers. We held Design Thinking Workshops to encourage innovative ideas about learning spaces and smooth transitions. The process successfully created a shared vision for the school, inviting input from all stakeholders. The team reviewed designs and gathered feedback, organizing visits to other schools for inspiration and discussion. We consulted with the Parish Council to incorporate community facilities into the master plan and ensured the design respected the surroundings. We rigorously examined the design at every stage, from the master plan to small details, to achieve the best outcome. This thorough planning process resulted in a building that enhances the school’s goals for collaborative teaching and learning, offering an engaging, welcoming, and inclusive experience for students, teachers, and the community.
